On July 13th, 2021, the JD Cloud Summit was held in Beijing. At the Enterprise Digital Transformation Forum, Wang Jue, President of Beijing Brilliant Technology Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Digital Twin Technology and Application Working Committee of the China Geographic Information Industry Association, attended and delivered a keynote speech on "The Application of Digital Twin Technology in New Infrastructure", explaining the enormous development potential of digital transformation in the civil aviation industry that needs to be explored.

According to incomplete statistics, among the 317 civil airports in China, there are over 100 airports that are currently under large-scale construction or are about to undergo construction projects. In 2018, the Civil Aviation Administration of China released the "Guidelines for Airport New Technology Directory", promoting the widespread use of new technologies including digital twin systems. It is expected that the investment in airport construction projects will continue to grow at a rate of over 10% in the next 5-10 years. During this period, grasping technological innovation and building a safer, more convenient, efficient, green, and economical new civil aviation infrastructure will become the mainstream trend in the industry.

Wang Jue stated in the theme report "Application of Digital Twin Technology in New Infrastructure" that new infrastructure is becoming a necessary choice to lead the high-quality development of China's economy. In the process of empowering traditional industries with digital means, "digital twin" is an important support for the evolution of old infrastructure to new infrastructure. In practical applications, it can evaluate the current state, diagnose past problems, and predict future trends, achieve dynamic correspondence between the physical world and the digital world, meet the operational needs of the physical world, guide the construction and operation optimization of the future real world, and provide stable support for high-quality economic and social development and a better life for the people.
