The 5th "Blossom Cup" 5G Application Collection Contest, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was co-organized by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the 5G Application Industry Array, the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group, the China Communications Standards Association, and the BRICS Future Network Research Institute (China·Shenzhen). This edition of the "Blossom Cup" featured a total of 28 specialized tracks, among which China Unicom undertook and participated in 13 tracks, including Green Smart Manufacturing, Smart Cities, Integrated Media, Intelligent Construction, Industry Virtual Private Networks, MEC Edge Computing, Smart Consumption, Smart Tourism, Public Safety, Solutions, General Products, Application Security, and 5G Messaging.
As a new infrastructure provider in the metaverse domain, leveraging advanced design concepts, years of experience and technical accumulation in the transportation sector, and the construction experience of nearly forty large and medium-sized smart airports, Brilliant Co., Ltd.'s "Pudong Airport 5G High-Precision Integrated Positioning Project" was awarded the "Industry Virtual Private Network Special Award — Smart Transportation Track Third Prize". The Pudong Airport 5G High-Precision Integrated Positioning Project offers high-precision vehicle positioning system construction and unified location services. It employs a model of on-vehicle terminals plus a backend management platform to locate and monitor apron vehicles, encompassing real-time vehicle location push and display, historical trajectory playback, electronic fence drawing with entry and exit alerts, route conflict alerts, vehicle speed monitoring with overspeed alarms, driving record functions, and driver management modules. By collecting real-time positional information of vehicles and aircraft, it enables real-time monitoring of the positions of airport operation vehicles and operating aircraft on maps, allowing management personnel to observe or obtain the current location and operation information of each vehicle or aircraft at any time.
